Since picking up a crayon at a very early age, Linda has spent most of her life involved in the visual arts. It was her high school guidance teacher who told her about the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. Leaving the small farming community where she was born and raised, Linda enrolled in the four year illustration course which upon graduation lead to a long and varied career in advertising and graphic arts, employed by some of Canada's largest retailers. Maintaining her interest in fine arts, Linda says, "I became a weekend artist, making any time I could to sketch and paint."

A resident of Richmond Hill for many years, and an active member of arts organizations, Linda began to show her art in public galleries. She has enjoyed the success of solo and group shows and acceptance into juried exhibitions.

Best known for watercolours, Linda explores other media and subject material in both traditional and experimental techniques. Many of her works, including commissions, are in private collections across Canada.

Invited to teach for the Town of Richmond Hill, Linda acquired a reputation for unique creative workshops ranging from basic drawing to advanced painting, some of which have been published in the Watercolour Gazette, Kor Publications, Winnipeg.

Since retiring from the corporate commercial art field, Linda now resides in the town a few miles from the farm where she first discovered her artistic interest and began to develop her skills.

"I feel I have come full circle, back to my rural roots which, I believe, will always remain a strong influence. It is in this environment that I find a sense of peace and harmony between man and Mother Nature, a timeless retreat in an ever changing world.

Through my creative expression I strive to capture and share this sentiment with others. I value the friendships formed through my art and teaching, an exciting fulfilling experience that I hope to continue for a lifetime."
